Hi friends,
I’ve learned about a really cool way to market your book and I’ve decided to give it a try.
First, a little backstory. I went to the IBPA Publishing University conference last month with the intent to educate myself about the world of independent publishing, and I was not disappointed! The conference was awesome and it exceeded all of my expectations. I highly recommend this annual event to all independent authors and publishers!
While there, I had the chance to meet with a number of industry experts and ask questions. And, although everyone was great, I was really impressed with Kathy Meis, CEO of Bublish. She was very approachable and I learned a lot in the short time we had together. She’s an impressive person and I have become quite a fan of the company she’s building.
Now, back to that cool marketing tool I mentioned, they’re called “book bubbles”. Book bubbles are a great way for authors to share excerpts of their books along with a little commentary. I just published my second one today, so please go check it out when you have a few minutes. If you missed the first one, you can find it here.
In addition to my bubbles, please check out a few from other authors and let me know what you think. Do you like this format? Do you enjoy reading excerpts as a way to get a sense for a book before you buy it? Would you like to see more bubbles from Restoration? Please let me know in the comments!
